Extensions in Firefox...

One of the really cool things about Firefox is that you can customize the browser using extensions. There are lots of extensions here.

Some of the extensions that I like to use are the following (look for them by name on the link above):

1) Adblock - Firefox all ready has built in pop-up blockers, but this is a nice little addition because you can tweak this extension to make pop up blocking more stringent.
2) Bugmenot - Very useful for those websites that ask for registration. Install this, go to the page asking for a registration, right click on the user id and press "bugmenot". Then a screen will pop up giving you a user name and password to log on with.
3) Foxy Tunes -- If you listen to a lot of music while you are on the web, this is the extension for you. It inserts a small bar at the bottom of the browser where you can control your media player. So no switching back and forth to skip a song.
4) Googlebar. Of course.
5) Spoofstick. Adds a toolbar that tells you exactly what website you are on. Very useful for preventing "phishing attacks".
6) MAB -- The mozilla amazon browser. This installs a separate window for searching Amazon.com and it is a bit easier to read. I'm honestly growing to like this one a lot.
7) IEVIEW -- This installs a right click menu option which will allow you to open the current page in Internet Explorer. Very useful for those situations when a site doesn't render right in Firefox because of improper coding.

That's just a start, so go find some for yourself!!

UPDATE: For all things Firefox check out this from Inter Alia.
